Preparation of NiFe2O4 Nanoparticles by Solution Combustion Method as Photocatalyst of Congo red
نویسندگان
چکیده
NiFe2O4 nanoparticles had been successfully synthesized by solution combustion method using urea fuel (organic precursor). The were characterized X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy-Electron Dispersive Spectroscopy (SEM-EDs), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Fourier Transform Infra-Red (FTIR), Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM), UV-Vis Diffuse Reflectance (UV-Vis DRS), and Point of Zero Charge (pHpzc). irradiated with visible light employed to degrade Congo red dye the following variable: pH (3–8), H2O2 concentration (0.5–3 mM), (100–600 mg/L). XRD analysis results showed that a cubic spinel structure. particle sizes are in range 10–40 nm. magnetic properties determined VSM magnetization saturation value 47.32 emu/g. DRS indicated an optical band gap 1.97 eV. success synthesis was also proven EDS results, which composed Ni, Fe, O elements. removal efficiency 96.80% at optimum conditions: 5.0, 2 mM, 100 mg/L, contact time 60 min. study photodegradation kinetics follows pseudo-first order reaction rate constant 0.0853 min?1. Adsorption properties of nickel oxide nanoparticles for removal of Congo Red from aqueous solution
The effective removal of dyes from aqueous wastewaters is among the most important issues formany industrialized countries. Removal of Congo Red (CR) dye from aqueous solutions was studiedusing nickel oxide nanoparticles. The operating variables studied were initial pH of solution, adsorbents dosage, temperature and contact time. The morphological information of nickel oxidenanoparticles were ch...
